This week, the lovely Vannetta Chapman is visiting my blog as I feature A Promise for Miriam. I really enjoyed reading Miriam and Gabe’s story and particularly liked Vannetta’s unique characterization. It was if I lived alongside them in the story.  I’m looking forward to reading more books from the Pebble Creek Amish Series. Vannetta will be stopping by a few times this week to chat with ya' all and answer any questions you might have about her writing and books. She's got a new release coming out very soon and I'll bet we can coax her to tell us about it.

BACK COVER:
When she thought her future would never know love … she saw him.
When he thought his future would forever be empty … he saw her.

Amish school teacher Miriam King loves her students.  At twenty-six, most women her age are married with children of their own, but she hasn’t yet met anyone who can persuade her to give up the Plain school that sits along the banks of Pebble Creek.  Then newcomer Gabriel Miller steps into her life, bringing his daughter, an air of mystery, and challenges Miriam has never faced before.

At first Gabe just wants to be left alone with a past that haunts him, but the loving and warm Wisconsin community he and his daughter have moved to has other plans for him. After a near tragedy, he hesitantly returns offers of help and friendship and discovers he can make a difference to the people of Pebble Creek – and maybe to the Amish schoolteacher.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:

Vannetta Chapman has published more than 100 articles in Christian family magazines.  She discovered her love for the Amish while researching her grandfather’s birthplace in Albion, Pennsylvania. Vannetta is a multi-award-winning member of Romance Writers of America. She was a teacher for 15 years and currently resides in the Texas Hill Country.

Thank you so much for having me, Susan. I'm glad you enjoyed Miriam's story.

And my new release is book 2 in this series, A Home for Lydia. Same community, but this time we focus on a set of guest cabins that are run by a local family. :)

Blessings to you and all your visitors!

Vannetta, I'm wondering if there are still Amish in Albion, PA. If so, are any of your relatives still there? That would be neat! I would love to win your book. This sounds like a good story. Too bad they have to give up being a teacher when they get married. Thanks for having Vannetta on your blog, Susan. She is a lovely lady. I got to meet her. I am a follower also. I would love to win this book.
