Spring Fever

I've got spring fever.....bad!  I don't want the calendar to move forward any quicker; I just want the warmer weather.  Picky, aren't I?  =)  This winter seems like it's been about twice as long as normal.   Brrr!  I'm ready to replace my winter coat for a jacket, store away the snow shovel, and see some green on the landscape.   

We are supposed to have some temps in the high 30's to low 40's this week.  I can hardly wait!  The record high for today in 2006 was 81 degrees.  Wow!  I'd just about flip a cartwheel for 50's.  Well, I would if I could.  Cartwheeling has never been a skill I've actually mastered.

An unexpected blessing is that a friend gave me some tulips to enjoy.  Come autumn, I can plant the bulbs outside in our flower bed.  So for now, I'm enjoying a little preview of spring -- inside.  I thought I'd share a picture of the beautiful red tulips I was given ... just in case you've got spring fever too. (I apologize for the glare off the mirror in the picture.)

Dear Friends,

Please forgive me for not posting on a regular basis.  I had grand plans to be better at this and I fully intend to do so.  But this is the eve before we have another big speech and debate tourney for my daughter and so it'll be at least a week probably before I can try and get back to blogging. 

Please accept my humble apologies for not being better at blogging more consistently.  Please do not give up on me -- I'll get there.
